The Challenge
The owners of an 1899 Park Slope brownstone wanted a rear garden stair that met modern code without looking modern. Tight masonry openings, a landmark-adjacent facade and exactly one crane window of access made this a measuring-twice kind of job.
Our Approach
We templated every opening on site, drew the stair and rails for approval, then built the stringers, pickets and handrail in the shop. TIG welds were ground flush, the whole assembly was powder-coated in matte black, and installation took two days with hand-carry rigging — not a scuff on the garden walls.
