We’re Creating a Metal Product

Most of our custom work starts the same way: a photo of a neighbor's gate, a napkin sketch, or a contractor saying “something like this, but wider.” Turning that into a finished, installed metal product is a process — and knowing the steps helps you get exactly what you pictured.

It begins with measuring, not metal. We template the real opening on site, because houses built in 1900 were not built square and a drawing made from memory will haunt everyone later. From those numbers we produce shop drawings: dimensioned plans you approve and sign before a single cut.

Then comes cutting, forming and welding — the loud part. Joints that show get TIG welds ground flush; structural joints get full penetration and stay visible only where they should. Finally the finish: hot-dip galvanizing for anything that lives outside, powder coat in your color, and hardware fitted and tested in the shop, not on your stoop.
